I can not find any record of this sign anywhere. I was told it is from the 1940s. There is a white spot on the left side of the sign just under 2 long. There is some chips on the right side over a 3 by 1 area. Other very minor damage along the edge (light bends or chips) is pictured very clearly. The back has some very light surface rust. The face is an earlier design then the few you can find out there. This is an extremely nice clock, and is in very good condition. I cleaned the face, and wiped off the case. I did not open it up, does have some bug dust inside. The cord has been spliced, a newer standard wall plug added. Works as it should. Also the stem for the hands is slightly bent, and missing grip. Was able to turn with a pair of needle nose. Impossible to find OLD FORD ADVERTISING! Circa late 20s early 30s I believe. High quality collectors estate find! The clock measures 14 inches across. The outer lens is made from high quality optical lexan held in place with 3 removable rivets. It’s scratch resistant and won’t yellow over time. The advertisement face is cut out by a CNC router and the image is placed with a UV dried computer controlled printing process that will last for many years. The back of the clock is made from black ABS plastic that houses a 22 watt fluorescent circuline bulb with an on/off switch in the cord. The clock is a battery operated quarts movement that runs from 1 double AA battery. This sign is awesome when lit! This is a must for any collector and would look great in your home, office, or garage.
