FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS A VINTAGE “CLARK’S SUPER GAS ” 11 3/4″ BY 11 3/4″ HEAVY (1 POUND, 10 OUNCES) PORCELAIN METAL GASOLINE & OIL ADVERTISING PUMP PLATE SIGN. THIS SIGN HAS FANTASTIC GRAPHICS OF THE CLARK’S SUPER GAS LOGO WITH CLASSIC ORANGE AND BLACK CLARK GASOLINE COLORS. YOU DO NOT SEE CLARK GASOLINE SIGNS OR ADVERTISING OFTEN. THIS IS MADE OF HEAVY PORCELAIN. THIS SIGN HAS 2 MOUNTING HOLES FOR HANGING AND DOES SHOW USE, LIGHT RUST & USE BUT DISPLAYS VERY WELL AND HAS GREAT GLOSS AND IS READY TO HANG. THIS SIGN DOES SHOW SOME LIGHT USE & WEAR NEAR THE HOLES AND PATINA , BUT DISPLAYS VERY WELL WITH GORGEOUS GLOSS. THIS SIGN MEASURE 11 3/4″ BY 11 3/4″ AND IS ROUND AND IS THICK & HEAVY AND WEIGHTS OVER 1 POUND, 10 OUNCES AND IS MADE OF THICK PORCELAIN. NOT CHEAP TIN OR THIN METAL. This is for sale to addresses in the LOWER 48 STATES ONLY — otherwise the sale will get cancelled! I’m guessing this is from the 1950’s, but it could be older than that. This sign was in my Dad’s dealership when he bought it in the mid-1970’s. The pegboard has some grease stains, and some of the holes are wallered out, and the paint has chipped off. The frame is made out of aluminum tubing, and the red paint has peeled off on the back side. It measures approximately 48″ wide x 37″ tall. For being approximately 70 years old, it is in pretty good condition!
