VINTAGE ANTIQUE STEAK N SHAKE LIGHTED ELECTRIC CLOCK SIGN CAR HOP DRIVE IN FOOD. Not one of the cheap Chinese knockoffs! This is an Authentic lighted clock; sign that was used in a Steak N Steak restaurant. 20″ wide x 17″ wide x 5 deep. Constructed of a metal back plate, chromed plastic frame, and plastic sign face and bubble clock cover. The clock motor is the quality electric Synchron motor, which are known for their quality and longevity. Runs smooth and has some face scratches as well as use wear. There is a knob on the rear to set the time. Illuminated by a single circline or round fluorescent tube with starter and transformer and works well. The clock displays great! It was an actual used clock in a Steak N’ Shake and does have scratches on the clear plastic and chrome plastic. Please note – the lights on the inside kind of all need to be replaced for it to be “restored”. 1 out of the 4 inside lights go in and out, about every 2 minutes annoying! I could absolutely get the LED lights restored and completely revamp this one-of-a-kind piece. But what fun would that be if this is for you? Take that fluorescent tube lighting out! Maybe replace with original, fix the little short (because it goes in and out I know the light is not gone completely) , or maybe make it modern and YOURS AND DO A COOL LED COLOR CHANGING LIGHTED BACKGROUND THAT GROOVES WITH MUSIC, a simple LED lighting, or motion activated. The possibilities are endless! This one of a kind wall decor came from a Steak’n Shake in Morrow, Georgia in 2004.
