Large Vintage Letter B Sign. Metal Construction Neon. Car Dealer Salvage

I have for sale a vintage signage of capital letter “B”. It is constructed of sturdy and lightweight metal. I believe it’s aluminum. Inside the letter is neon light tube, covered by clear lucite. The electrical connections are cut off. I believe it was in good working order before taken down. No guarantees that it will work. It was displayed at a local car dealership. It was a backlit sign, so that neon light bounced off the wall. On the top is a wether-faded sticker that says. The dimensions are: 16″ tall, 13″ wide, and 3.5 deep. Although bent, I will include the original wall mount screws. This sign has a high quality workmanship, crafted by true professionals. It will make a great display. This is an impressive 2-sided , thick and heavy metal sign, featuring a very memorable gas and oil slogan! This killer sign measures approximately 32″ x 21″ , and photos include both sides of the sign. One of the more forgotten sub-brands of a major oil company is Marfak Lubrication. Marfak was the lube brand of Texaco and Caltex. If Havoline was the actual oil, Marfak was the “process”. This rare two-sided sign undoubtedly hung above Texaco gas station bays, probably during the 1950’s or thereabouts. This vintage sign is bullet-ridden with rust/tarnish…. Which simply adds to the character of the signage!! If minty-fresh “new old stock” signs makes you suspicious and leery, then this Marfak sign is for you!! Federal Census also the 1931 Bay City Directory. The sign is original, thin tin metal. It shows age, scratches, dings, paint loss along with bent corners. Measures 59″ x 7″.
