& ORIGINAL EARLY, THREE NUMBER GRAY/. BLACK ENAMEL PAINTED PRESSED TIN. PASSENGER CAR LICENSE PLATE. [Absolutely, 100% original enamel painted surfaces, with no’in-painting,’ old or new]. Rare early 20th century Ame ri can vintage Northwest & Alaskan. Passenger automobile license plates. 7 14″ Width x 4″ Height. Weight: 2.5 oz. Two horizontal lines, one short and one longer, bracket the date’1931′ above and below it. The rear of the license plate exhibits some surface oxidation along the lower margin, 1/4 above its bottom edge. The license plate hasn’t been touched and it remains as it was when it was removed from the Boston, Massachusetts’ estate it was originally discovered in and subsequently removed from. A thrilling, exciting early 20th century Ame ri can artifact from Ame ri ca’s great, largely untamed northwest. Good to Very Good overall vintage condition.
