For Sale is the perfect gift for a Buick or GM fan’s man cave! This is an incredibly rare, Bill Johnson Buick Dealership sign, measuring 72″ X 21″. Located in Oak Park, IL, Mr. Johnson owned the Buick dealership there for decades. The previous owner of the sign thought it was mounted at the dealership in the 1950s, but I cannot be certain. Note that the telephone number still uses the two letter prefix, which helps date the sign. The sign is made of approximately 1/8 masonite. Vintage Buick GM Dealers Sign 2 sided Promotional Advertising Salesmans. The plastic 2 sided Buick GM promotional dealers sign was made to sit on the salesmans desk. The base measures 4″ square the sign measures 12 1/4″ tall and slides into the base. I listed this as used however I think it was probably never set out it may have a very tiny mark that is all. I also have Pontiac Oldsmobile Cadillac and Chevrolet and GMC Truck that I will get listed shortly. They are all wrapped up in the same style bag. ONLY ONE IN EXISTANCE! Description: While I’m very reluctant to sell this nonetheless here it is. I bought this dealership banner years ago and haven’t had a place to display it due to its size. It measures about 19 feet long and is 2 1/2 feet wide. It features two different WISCONSIN dealerships as well as BUICK PONTIAC and OAKLAND. Anyone that knows OAKLAND’s knows that they were no longer being made after 1931. I’m assuming this sign is at least that old. As always pictures tell the story. You can clearly see some damage on the canvas but all in all it’s a sharp looking sign with beautiful colors. All items leave here packed with care, but I will not be held responsible for lost or damaged items due to postal mishandling. I will try to list and explain my auctions to the best of my ability. I acquired this sign from a former employee who worked for dealer right up to the end. I was told it hung over a fireplace in their showroom. The Krajenke slogan; “hard to spell, easy to deal with”. Sign is a custom made 1 of 1 piece of Americana. Needs some fine cleaning and dusting. Loose feathers / parts can be easily manipulated to your liking. The hawk is solid copper and has developed a nice patina. The underside of the wings has turned a really cool red color in spots. The hawk is holding an old piece of barn wood with the dealers name spelled out in crudely cut out letters. There is a steel framework inside the bird complete with a hoop up top for hanging. 50″ wide, 30″ tall, & 15 deep. 30 minutes from Flint, and 45 minutes from Ann Arbor.
