Very early original double sided sign for the REO automobile & truck company. Sign is old and has imperfections – see the photos. Displays well, one side better than the other. Early sign done in sand paint, Schmaltz sign. Measures approximately 24″ X 18″. The hanger is original to the sign and has had some sloppy welding done at some point in it’s life, would be easy to repair & pretty up. Any questions just ask. Double sided porcelain sign “STUDEBAKER ERSKINE SERVICE” Found inside the backroom of a old bicycle store. Not sure how or why but I believe it was a studebaker dealer prior to the bicycle shop. Sign is “dry” in the pictures… Remaining porcelain has ok shine but overall does major porcelain loss, rust, bends, and contaminants. One side displays much better then the other. However the nicer side is still fairly rough. Essentially “AS FOUND” aside from lightly hosing the layers of dust/dirt/and debris off. The first 7 pictures are of the “better” side the other 5 are of the rougher side. Might not be restorable but could be enjoyed as is for another 100 years. Some minor things could be done to make it more presentable but I will leave that up to the experts (you) Very rare piece.
