Vintage Porcelain Neon Rambler Automotive Dealership Sign from the 1950s

This is an Original, Vintage, Porcelain Neon Automotive Dealership Sign from the 1950’s for Rambler Automobiles. This is a single-sided sign. The porcelain finish on the sign is beautiful, with only a few very small chips on the perimeter of the sign. The porcelain is day-one bright and glossy. There has been absolutely NO clear-coat or touch-up paint or “juice” or wax applied to the porcelain. What you see is what you get. The neon was new when I stored the sign 10 years ago, so it could use a little black-out paint in some places. The neon on the perimeter of the sign is ruby red, and the neon on the letters is bright green. The neon glows bright and constant. This sign looks stunning either lighted or unlighted. The can of the sign was made about 10 years ago and is in great shape. It is constructed from galvanized steel and is very well made. The measurements of this sign are 160″ long, 21″ wide, and 12 deep (including the neon). I can also hold onto the sign for 90 days if you need that. I suggest contacting me ahead of time to work this out and tell me your intentions. (Lamp stands available on other listings). These are superb quality opaline milk glass globes, with a Quality Image applied on both sides. Superb detail and they look great just on the shelf or lit up as a desk lamp. I have applied the decals on both sides of the Globes and the size and colours are perfect for this style of globe. When illuminated the light comes through really well and shows the design superbly. Mini Globe : Stands approx 9.5 inches tall with a diameter of approx 8 inches wide. The bottom of the globe has a 3 inch neck fitter at the bottom. Large Globe : Stands approx 11.5 inches tall with a diameter of approx 10 inches wide. Here she is in all her beauty. Took me ten plus years to talk her into my hands. The famous “Honey” Dodge girl from the early 70’s. She has her share of problems as far as condition but what do you expect. I rescued her from a closet! I have tried to show every angle and problem. These were made to fold in the center and she has separated in the fold line but is repairable. Her left arm is creased a bit but still intact and could be reinforced from the back side. The one toe has some minor issues but could be massaged a little. I see one small water stain in the mid section. A bit dusty from laying around for all these years. All in all this can be brought back to its former glory with a little effort and is absolutely worth it! It has the original fold out cardboard stand intact and it looks fine. I hate to pass her on but really have no place large enough to display her beauty. She belongs to someone who will cherish her as I have and display her properly. You will fall in love with this gal, trust me. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will try my very best to answer them with all honesty. She is stunning even with the issues. I have him also. I will package her in between two thin pieces of plywood or stiff cardboard. It will not be cheap to send her due to dimensions. Balloon rate will surely apply.
