Vintage Alpine Mobile Audio Dealership Car Stereo Backlit lighted Sign neon HUGE

This Listing is for… This Alpine Mobile Audio Backlit sign… Its like 6 x 4 ft… I will get measurements, check the backlighting, and some more pics soon, but for now I just wanted to get it listed. Plastic/acrylic front with NO cracks, metal housing about 8 thick. A great single side wall mount sign for that shop wall or even your stereo business. No other trim or parts included.. Other parts pictured available in other listings. May not perfect but might be better than yours. But in our opinion all in some form of restorable condition as pictured. I don’t have time for that. And no one percenters, no, I don’t mean the rich 1% you hear about on the news, the other end of the spectrum 1%… If you are a one percenter, this is for you. The item is as pictured and described, but it may be between 30 and 80+ years old and may look like the came out of Oscar the Grouches residence, being dusty/dirty, perhaps even having Charlotte’s web inside, feasting on dead flies. They probably came from abandoned vehicles in ungodly locations, which means, they were left to the elements and rarely moved, so sun fading, wind chapping and who knows what else may have occurred. When they were moved, they were drug by chains and tow straps, or pushed by tractors(with a tire between them if they were careful) by tired dirty farmers who just wanted to get the vehicle out of their way. I will have to misspell it!! Not even allowing the mere word to be mentioned!!! ?? But back to my original rant… Which means your item will not come with a card, a bow, ribbon, tissue paper, pillow box, or even a new box… Also, if its a corrugated box its fair game, which means the boxes may be old beer/wine/liquor boxes(from coping with the 1%ers), oil boxes, or from misc small appliances/tools; and may have been previously used to store parts, pack tools, or even as a temporary table to hold items during the primer/paint process of automotive restoration. Now I proudly affront the 1%ers with the spirit of a puffed chested. Fighting for reasonableness & discernment in purchasing old junque’ for all! _ / \ _. Vintage Backlit A&W ROOT BEER Soda Drive-In Car Hop Diner Fast Food Menu Sign #2

Original vintage A&W ROOT BEER STAND BACKLIT CAR SIDE MENU SIGN circa 1980s. Just like today with McD’s and the other fast food restaurants A&W signs were placed at fast food sites at the order station so you could figure out what you wanted. You would look at this lit menu sign, and when you decided what you wanted, you would push the intercom button and place your order. It has graphics of the food and drinks on a translucent plastic back, with the menu selections and prices listed. They usually had a light behind them so their graphics and fare would show up more distinctly. These remainders of the past were made obsolete by the fast food drive thru lanes. This menu sign has classic A&W graphics across the top. A hamburger, Onion Rings, a Hot Dog and of course, a frosty mug of their famous Root Beer. It also has about 50 menu items, and 5 ways to order your A&W Root Beer, including by the gallon. It measures 2′ feet by 1′ foot (or 24″ inches by 12″ inches). It is translucent plastic and was mounted in front of a lit holder / order station. This is the front lens only, and does not include the large stainless steel order station on a post. It frames nicely or is easily made into a thin backlit box that shows it off like it was originally. No cracks, bends nor warping. This is a companion to the larger sign we have up. There is the expected minor age fade patina, but it is bright and attractive and otherwise in great condition. Not many of these survived intact. It makes a unique addition to the basement Soda fountain or bar. When made into a light box, it is the perfect ambient light for collectors and exhibitors. Note – this is difficult to package due to it’s fragility, age and size. Do your part when you receive it and be very careful when you unpack it, to not damage the sign!
