For your consideration is an extremely nice Atlas Wiper Blades thermometer with the windshield shape glass. The condition looks almost unused. Definitely never outdoors, as there is no rust or grime. The temperature reading seems to be accurate, as it was reading the same as my home thermostat. I had trouble making a picture without any glare that makes it look like white spots on it. The painted face has no missing or faded paint. It measures 15″ x 9.5″ This is a great automobile collectable and will make a nice addition to anyone’s collection. ORIGINAL 1951 FORD DEALERSHIP ELECTRIC LIGHTED MECHANICAL DISPLAY. FORDOMATIC DRIVE TRANSMISSION DEALER SHOWROOM ADVERTISEMENT. UP FOR SALE IS AN EXTREMELY RARE AND VERY SCARCE ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1951 FORD FORDOMATIC DRIVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION DEALERSHIP ADVERTISEMENT DISPLAY SIGN WHICH MEASURES 48″ WIDE X 50″ HIGH X 12 DEEP. Original Vintage 1951 FORD FORDOMATIC DRIVE Transmission Dealership Advertising Electric Lighted Mechanical Display Sign which measures a huge 50″ inches high X 48″ inches wide X 12 inches deep. This piece is made with a solid wood frame and the entire piece was hand painted. It has a total of 8 light bulbs inside behind each 8″ X 10″ Color Photograph. There is also a small electric gear motor with cable chain drive which operates the gear shifter from P to R to N to DR to LO From what I understand, it is missing a “glove” which was bolted on to the end of the gear shifter. Everything works smoothly but two of the lights are not lighting up which could easily be a pair of burnt out light bulbs or a short somewhere. A few of the 8 X 10 photograghs have started to crack along with some water damage to the cardboard inserts which hold the photographs. They all could easily be copied, replicated and replaced with new ones since they slide right out to change the light bulbs. Overall, this piece is super duper rare and deserves to be appreciated by someone who will display it properly with their Ford Dealership Collection. Here is your chance to add such an incredible piece to your collection of early automobilia advertising. It will look amazing in your vintage Ford museum so dont pass up on this amazing advertising display. It is literally a piece of Automotive HISTORY!!! This was showing customers who walked through the front door of the Ford Dealership how an automatic transmission operated. Working Antique 1915 Buick Motor Cars Blue w/ White Border Porcelain Thermometer w/ Wood Backing(for the thermometer piece). The thermometer height is 27 inches and width is 7 inches and was manufactured March 16, 1915. The thermometer front and back do have some fading, rust, chipping(the most obvious being the top), possible paint marks(on the back) and expected and wear and tear for an item over 104 years old. The wood piece on the back is very slightly loose(possibly manufactured that way), but is still firmly secure; the hole on the bottom of the wood piece does appear to have an unknown old dry substance of some sort inside. I’m unsure what it is, but it does not appear on the comp. The most unique aspect of this item is that opposed to the other thermometer for sale, this thermometer does not have a company advertised on the bottom white area below “Motor Cars” and could at your discretion be left blank or used to advertise your own company. Numerous pictures will be included to view the condition yourself.
