Vintage Mid-1960's Tin Lithograph 1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible
Here for your consideration is a vintage 1960’s tin lithograph 1965 Ford Thunderbird convertible with retractable top – made by Ichiko and originally distributed through Sears & Roebuck stores under the “Turnpike Line”. It is in a rich, red color with cream top, and is all original, complete and working. Both the top and side windows are controlled by two rear-mounted brass knobs. The car is friction-powered which glides very smoothly. This’65 Bird measures a huge 15 1/4″ Long, 5 1/2″ Wide and 4 1/2 High (with top up). There are a few areas of tarnish from age on the wheel covers and top edge of rear tail light assembly, as well as a very occasional small scuff on the top, body and interior – again, the result of its age. This car was a well cared for toy, and its condition reflects this. No dents and nothing broken. Both the front and rear window glass are in fine, original condition – no cracks or breaks. It is a very rare and amazing car to behold, especially due to its size and several animated functions, and would make a proud addition to any collection. (Pictures have been re-taken on 12/01/2020 for higher-definition photos, and better quality assurance). I will be listing other toy cars, radios, tin litho-cars, and more for your consideration. International Buyers are welcomed at my discretion. More than happy to answer any questions! Thank you for looking.
